Changed RGV: Give Respect & Take Respect

Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma’s tryst with controversies needs no introduction. Despite earning widespread reputation for his peculiar filmmaking style in Bollywood and South India, his outspoken nature on sensitive matters and bold statements on notable individuals often land him into unnecessary controversies.

RGV also faced several legal troubles for his loose tongue and provoking comments guised as personal opinions on several occasions. Even though he is not seriously affiliated to any political party, he poked his nose into AP politics during the previous term of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and came under severe criticism for his unpalatable remarks on leaders like CBN, Pawan Kalyan and Lokesh. Moreover, he often grabs the limelight for expressing his views explicitly without caring about the consequences.

Surprisingly, RGV seems to have now turned over a new leaf. Unlike his previous posts, which were more of a targeted hate campaign against certain individuals, his recent social media activity hint he has mend his ways and adopted a rather sensible approach while expressing his opinions. It looks like he has put his past behind and started maintaining dignity to his stature.

During the re-release of Shiva, he heartfully apologised Chiranjeevi and surprised everyone. His appreciation for Ram Charan’s Chikiri Chikiri song and reaction on Varanasi teaser also garnered huge admiration from Tollywood fans. Also, his logical thoughts on iBomma Ravi’s arrest also received thumbs from all quarters.

Now, he waxed lyrical about the latest Bollywood blockbuster Dhurandhar. He called it a quantum leap in Indian cinema and heaped praises on director Aditya Dhar like no other celebrity. The way he described the experience of watching this Ranveer Singh starrer impressed not just his followers but also his naysayers. Even director Aditya Dhar also could not stop his admiration for RGV. Calling RGV one of his favourite directors, Dhar put out an elaborate reply in which he revealed about the impact created by RGV’s films.

It is an undeniable fact that RGV started gaining respect for his recent opinions and his changed behaviour. Besides his ardent supporters, even general public who used to hate him in the past are now admiring him. If he gives respect, he will the get same in return. That’s is what happening now.
