The horror thriller Eesha has registered a positive result at the box office during the Christmas weekend, despite facing competition from multiple releases. Made on a modest budget, the film managed to find its audience and post steady numbers in theaters.
With a fresh concept, engaging narrative, and committed performances, Eesha has generated decent interest among moviegoers. The horror elements have worked reasonably well, helping the film sustain occupancy after release.
What began as a limited and low key release gradually picked up momentum due to advance bookings and positive word of mouth. Within three days, including premiere shows, the makers released collections poster which are around ₹4.8 crore gross worldwide. Considering its controlled budget and release scale, these numbers were sufficient for the film to reach its breakeven point.
For the producers, this marks another financially safe outing after Little Hearts and Raju Weds Rambai, continuing a run of small but successful projects.
The film stars Thrigun and Hebah Patel in the lead roles, with Akhil Raj and Siri Hanmanth in key supporting parts. While Eesha may not be a massive box office sensation, its ability to recover costs quickly and post profits highlights the strength of well made low budget cinema.
