Will Anil Ravipudi Continue to End His Heroes’ Flop Streak?

Anil Ravipudi is one of the fewest Tollywood directors who cracked the success formula effectively. There is no exaggeration in calling a director with Midas touch because of his blockbuster streak. He dishes out wholesome entertainers that resonates strongly with all sections of moviegoers. 

Besides delivering commercial hits at the box office, Ravipudi has also got a unique reputation for ending the flop streak of actors who works with him. In the past, Ravipudi gave a new lease of life for actors like Kalyan Ram and Ravi Teja who were languishing with no proper hits for a considerable time before teaming up with him. 

Ravipudi repeated the same record when he delivered a blockbuster with Venkatesh and Varun Tej starrer F2. Before this film, both actors were struggling to deliver a decent box office hit at that time. Even when Venky again suffered a huge humiliation with Saindhav, Ravipudi made sure the seasoned actor makes a strong comeback with Sankranti ki Vasthunam. 

Now, all eyes are on Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Sankranti release Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu. Chiru’s previous outing Bhola Shankar turned out to be a huge embarassment at the box office and resulted in sharp criticism from his own fandom. So, Chiru immediately allotted dates to Ravipudi and completed the shoot quickly even as Vishwambhara, a big-budget magnum opus, was delayed indefinitely. 

Blending situational comedy into family dramas is Ravipudi’s strong suit. Unlike his contemporaries, he never experiments or moves out of his strong zone. This time-tested strategy worked out exceedingly well so far for him. He has the knack for giving a break for heroes who are coming from a box office failure. 

Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu also comes in the same category as Chiru’s last film tanked heavily at the ticket windows. Mega fans are expecting Ravipudi to continue his success streak with this film. In a few more hours, it will be revealed if Ravipudi continues his distinctive record with Chiranjeevi as well or not.
