Sree Vishnu is currently facing a similar scenario. His films Mrutyunjay and Vishnu Vinyasam are both targeting a February release. Mrutyunjay has officially announced February 27 as its release date. At the same time, reports suggest that Vishnu Vinyasam is also planning to arrive around the same period.
If both films release with very little gap, it could turn into a risky move. Even though the two movies belong to different genres, audience attention may get divided. Instead of building strong momentum for one film, the collections and buzz could get split between the two.
In today’s competitive market, proper planning of release dates plays a crucial role. Youth audiences form a major part of Sree Vishnu’s fan base, and back to back releases might create confusion about which film to prioritize.
