UV Creations, one of the most popular production houses in Telugu cinema, is hoping for a fresh start this year. The banner, which once delivered solid hits like Mirchi, Run Raja Run, and Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, has faced a rough phase recently.
Their last few big projects like Ghaati, Radhe Shyam, and Adipurush ended up as major disappointments at the box office, putting the production house under pressure.
Now, all eyes are on Couple Friendly, a small, content-based film starring Santosh Shoban in the lead role. Unlike their previous big-budget ventures, this film is being promoted as a youthful entertainer with relatable elements. While Couple Friendly may not bring massive revenue relief, a decent success could certainly boost the morale of the banner and rebuild some confidence.
The stakes are much higher with their upcoming biggies. Sharwanand’s Biker is slated for an April release, and Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara is expected to arrive in summer or post-summer. Both films are mounted on big budgets and need to click big time otherwise the banner will lose big money at the box office.
So, will Couple Friendly give UV Creations a positive start on February 14? is the biggest question as of now. Santhosh Soban, the main lead also needs a solid hit to make a comeback as his last few films ended as huge flops. So, Couple Friendly is a do or die kind of a situation for many involved.
