There is a prevailing notion that Tollywood always encourages fresh talent and creative brains. Many producers openly welcome aspiring filmmakers to come up with unique scripts and thrive in industry. But the ground reality is far from what is portrayed before the media. So many new directors face unpleasant experiences in search of offers.
While majority of them never really open up about their mistreatment out of fear and other reasons, some expose the real story behind the harsh realities suffered by directors to make sure that the outside world comes to know about the way in which they are treated in this journey.
‘Sampradayani Suppini Sudhhapusani’ director Sudheer Sriram has openly revealed how he was treated when he approached some individuals who were associated with renowned production houses and also exposed how they disregard young directors with lame reasons only to ignore them.
He stated that how well known producers initially evinced interest to work with him, but later threw a cold shoulder without any reason. He revealed about the ordeal he faced while waiting for offers from notable producers.
Sudheer Sriram expressed deep displeasure over the manner in which the representatives of top producers repeatedly mistreat happening directors who wait for an inordinate period in search of that one big offer which could turn their careers.
He further recollected how they keep directors in waiting mode without openly expressing their opinion about scripts. He says that this way of treatment subjects upcoming directors to undue pressure and make them lose confidence and also demoralises them.
It is high time producers make sure that new directors are not at the mercy of their representatives and also not treated with contempt by whoever it is.
