There is no doubt Dhurandhar 2 is rewriting records and creating huge buzz across the country. Many Tollywood stars have openly praised the film, adding to its momentum. Though Telugu version release got delayed for couple of days, audiences in Telugu states rushed to watch the Hindi version, showing the level of craze.
Amid this strong wave, all eyes are on how Ustaad Bhagath Singh is holding up. The film opened to mixed talk but is managing to stay stable, especially in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana where the star factor plays a key role.
After a slight dip on the second day, the film saw a noticeable pickup on Saturday. The weekend and Ramzan holiday helped boost footfall, with matinee shows gaining momentum and evening shows reporting strong occupancy in major cities.
While Dhurandhar 2 continues to dominate in several regions, Ustaad is still holding its ground due to loyal fan support.
Overseas, however, the impact of the Hindi film is clearly visible, and collections are not matching the expected levels for Pawan Kalyan. Still, in the Telugu states, the film is performing decently despite tough competition.
Unlike the massive hype around OG, Ustaad released with moderate expectations, which is helping it avoid major disappointment. However, fan ownership is not as strong this time, and the real test for the film will begin from Monday.
