With Ustaad Bhagat Singh not fully living up to the high expectations of fans, speculations started making rounds about Pawan Kalyan’s next projects. Fans are very eager to see him make a strong comeback, albeit it takes a considerable time for his immediate next to hit the screens.
While Pawan Kalyan has officially committed to do only Surender Reddy’s project up next as of now, media reports are claiming that few others combinations are also on cards. From the past few months, there have been rumours that directors like Lokesh Kanagaraj, Mohan Raja and Koratala Shiva are ready with bound scripts for Pawan Kalyan.
Though no concrete reports emerged about this projects, fans are expecting either of them to materialize very soon. But, all these reports seem misleading as none of the projects is hardly in the making. Now, Pawan Kalyan’s team has officially quashed the rumours as well to end the discussions.
Thd official X handle of Pawan Kalyan Creative Works has cleared the air that the actor has not taken up any new commitments contrary to the ongoing rumours. It also emphasized the there are no immediate plans to commence new films and any developments would be announced officially.
While this official clarification might come as a little disappointment for fans, there is an exciting spark in this announcement as the team hinted that any update about ‘OG 2’ would be shared by Pawan Kalyan himself.
OG, directed by Sujeeth, released last year and performed better than any other Pawan’s films in recent years. Moreover, it also presented the actor in his vintage avatar and his on-screen histrionics satisfied fans to the core. The way Sujeeth designed his character and mannerisms received unanimous response from fans.
Sujeeth already announced that there would a sequel to OG. Even Pawan Kalyan was so delighted working on this project and also evinced interest to team up with Sujeeth again. Now, the latest update suggests that Pawan is more interested to take up OG 2 in future if at all he spares time for movies amid his busy political commitments.
Also, the chances for Surender Reddy’s project to happen are very strong because he it will be bankrolled by his close friend Ram Talluri. So, even if they take time, both these projects will materialize for sure. But, there is no clarity on when his fans will see him on the big screen again.
