Initially, many believed the film would clear censor formalities and arrive only after the election results, avoiding the politically sensitive period. However, the latest buzz indicates otherwise.

Sources suggest that the team is likely to receive final censor clearance within this week. If everything goes as planned, the makers are considering a release immediately after polling, targeting April 24. This move, if finalized, would be a bold and strategic decision. 

As a backup, April 30 is also being discussed as a potential release date. If the film locks either of these dates, it could impact other movies that have already planned their releases around the same window.

In telugu states, Since a few Telugu films are planning release for that date and Peddi is likely to move to another date, Jana Nayagan may not face a direct impact. However, there could still be an issue with screen sharing if multiple Telugu releases choose the same date.

At the same time, releasing before the election results could work in the film’s favor, as it would avoid any direct influence or distraction caused by political outcomes. With clarity expected soon, all eyes are now on the makers to see which date they finalize for Jana Nayagan.
