Naga Shaurya is coming up with a commercial action drama titled Bad Boy Karthik. The film is directed by a newcomer, Raam Desina, and bankrolled by Srinivasa Rao Chintalapudi. As part of the movie’s promotion, the trailer was released a while ago and has all the elements of a commercial potboiler with familiar plot.
Going by the trailer, it is a mix of fun, mass, emotion and action elements. The story revolves around the character named Karthik, played by Naga Shaurya who is aggressive and carries this bad boy image.
However, he comes into conflict with a local goon, after which chaos erupts. Vidhi is the leading lady who appears as the love interest, bringing a soft contrast to what Shaurya plays in the film.
For quite some time, Naga Shaurya has been trying to emerge as a commercial action hero and even attempted quite a few movies. The film appears to be a familiar with known commercial elements and some nicely crafted action blocks. Shaurya has gone all out this time to shed some violence on the screen which could draw some target audiences.
Technically, the film is backed by a strong team. The cinematography is handled by Rasool Ellore and music is composed by Harris Jayaraj. The movie is slated for release on the 17th of this month.
