The iconic Drishyam franchise is once again making headlines, but this time the update has disappointed Telugu audiences. Reports suggest that there will be no Telugu remake for Drishyam 3 starring Mohanlal. Instead, the makers are planning to release the original Malayalam version in Telugu as a dubbed film.
The biggest reason behind this unexpected decision is said to be Venkatesh Daggubati’s packed schedule. The actor is currently busy with multiple prestigious projects and reportedly does not have enough time to remake the third installment.
Trade circles believe that delaying the Telugu version further would reduce the suspense factor, as the Malayalam original is already gearing up for release on May 21.
The first two Telugu versions, Drushyam and Drushyam 2, received tremendous appreciation, and many fans strongly connected with Venkatesh’s character Rambabu. Social media is now filled with disappointed reactions from fans who wanted to see him return for the final chapter.
Despite the disappointment, the craze surrounding Drishyam 3 remains massive, with audiences eagerly waiting to witness Georgekutty’s final game on the big screen.
