As part of Peddi promotions, production designer Avinash Kolla sat with Gulte Pro and shared interesting insights about the film directed by Buchi Babu Sana. He said the emotional narration itself convinced him that Peddi would become a very special film in his career.
Avinash revealed that every scene, location, and setup was designed based on the emotion of the story. The team carefully planned the film’s visual world before the shoot began.
Set in the 1970s and 1980s backdrop, Peddi features village culture, sugarcane fields, and cricket. Since the story happens during summer, the team chose Sri Lanka for several portions to match the dry terrain look.
He said both real locations and specially built sets were used to maintain authenticity. From vehicles to props, every detail was planned carefully to match the timeline perfectly.
Avinash also praised the producer Venkata satish kilaru and Director Buchi Babu Sana for supporting the vision without compromising on quality. He added that the team worked hard to create visuals that feel fresh and realistic.
The production designer expressed confidence that audiences will not be able to identify the difference between sets and real locations. Peddi is gearing up for release on June 4.
