Peddi’s Two Big Deals In Nizam

Ram Charan’s Peddi is a hot cake in the trade right now. After about four months of dry spell at the box office, everyone is hoping audience will flock to theaters for Peddi. The Pre-release business of the movie has hit a massive 165 Crore.

The Producers are seeking 600 Rupees for the Premieres and 100 Rupees hike for two weeks over and above the prices available right now.

It is easy to get the necessary G.O. in Andhra Pradesh but the suspense is on in Nizam region.

There are legal issues in Telangana to get the permissions. But since there is vacation for courts, the makers are confident that they can sneak in the permission somehow like how they did for Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu.

However, Mythri distributors did two deals with the Producer as far as Nizam is concerned.

The distributor will pay 63 Crore but the recoverable amount will vary based on the Permissions for the Premieres and Hikes.

If everything is in place, it is just three crore refundable. If there is a problem for the Premieres or Hikes, 5 Crore will be refundable.

But if there are issues with ticket hikes and premieres, the loss could be around Rs 15 crore share. Since the film already has solid pre release buzz, there is no doubt about the opening. However, unanimous word of mouth and a strong long run will be needed to recover that if hikes and premieres are not allowed in Nizam. So, they are hoping everything goes smoothly.

This is the reason why Mythri Naveen in the Chamber meeting particularly insisted on getting a G.O. from both the Telugu States which allows Flexible Pricing from 100 to 1000 Rupees and the Producer/distributor can opt for any pricing he wants.
