Paps Culture Getting Grilled Where It Started

Sara Tendulkar has strongly condemned a paparazzi account after a video showing her arriving at the airport with her sister-in-law was shared online alongside a derogatory and body-shaming caption.

The incident quickly sparked outrage among fans and social media users, many of whom criticized the growing culture of invasive celebrity coverage.

Taking to her official Instagram Stories, Sara publicly called out the creator of the account and expressed her anger over the disrespectful post. She wrote, “@tahirjasus, you are disgusting. This is not journalism. Leave. Us. Alone.”

Her statement immediately gained traction online, with screenshots and reposts circulating widely across Instagram and Twitter. Sara further pointed out that deleting the original post did not undo the damage caused by such behavior.

She emphasized that public figures also deserve dignity and privacy, especially when faced with insulting or demeaning commentary.

The controversy has reignited discussions around media ethics, paparazzi toxicity, online harassment, and the boundaries of celebrity privacy.

Many supporters praised Sara for speaking up firmly and using her platform to challenge harmful behavior often normalized in entertainment reporting.

Her response has become a major talking point online, with many calling for greater accountability and sensitivity in digital journalism and celebrity coverage practices.

Ironically, the paparazzi culture that now dominates Bollywood media coverage is said to have been fueled from within the industry itself, with early reports suggesting that a few celebrities encouraged constant media attention to stay in the spotlight and boost their visibility on social media.

But today, the same paparazzi ecosystem is facing strong backlash, with growing criticism over its intrusive approach, overenthusiasm, and lack of sensitivity toward public figures.
