Peddi team is going all out for the massive Bhopal event after the trailer received mixed reactions from fans and audiences. The makers are now pinning huge hopes on the grand AR Rahman live concert where a special song from the film will be launched in front of a gigantic crowd.
The scale of the event itself is said to be shocking many inside the industry. Two special chartered flights are being arranged from Hyderabad to Bhopal for Rahman’s team along with the film cast and crew. Nearly 200 hotel rooms have reportedly been booked in Bhopal for the entire unit.
What is grabbing attention most is the technical setup being planned for the event. Huge LED equipment is being brought specially from Indore while the lighting setup is arriving from Hyderabad. The music equipment for the concert is being transported from Mumbai.
Industry circles say the total budget for this one event alone is touching nearly Rs 4 crore. Interestingly, Rahman’s sound equipment itself is reportedly valued at around Rs 150 crore and the one day rental for using it is said to be close to Rs 1 crore.
The makers are expecting nearly one lakh people to attend the event and are treating it almost like a festival celebration. With so much money and planning going into the concert, the team is clearly hoping the special song and Rahman’s live performance can push Peddi back into strong buzz mode before release.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, this rooted village emotional drama is gearing up to hit the big screens on June 4 with grand premieres planned worldwide on June 3. With the Bhopal event now turning into a massive promotional spectacle, the team is expecting the film’s buzz to bounce back strongly in the coming days.
