66 Hard Disks Missing From Bollywood Production House

In a shocking development, we learned that Tiger Baby Digital LLP, owned by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, reported a data theft incident. Reportedly, 66 hard disks containing important production material have gone missing from the company’s office, and a complaint has been filed against a couple of employees, who have already been arrested.

Going by the latest reports in the Bollywood media, the Bandra police arrested Mohammad Shahid Azim Khan and Ritesh Suresh Shah who were working in the office. On May 21st, the staff discovered that several hard-disk boxes were allegedly found empty and damaged. The company’s official records showed an inventory of 119 hard disks, of which 66 were allegedly missing.

According to the reports, the missing hard disks contain raw shooting footage, edited scenes, post-production files, advertising projects, backups, archival material, and completed movie-related data. Interestingly, a part of the content is related to mainstream cinema and OTT platforms while the other part is majorly unreleased content.

In the police investigation, it has been found that the accused allegedly admitted of stealing 24 hard disks over the last five months. These drives were allegedly sold for Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 each. The content in the hard disks also includes footage from projects like Sobhita Dhulipala’s Made In Heaven and Ghost Stories as well.

The cops are including cyber team experts in the investigation to check whether the content was leaked online, while also checking whether any other employee had a role in the matter.
