Today is Legend NT Ramarao’s 103th Birth Anniversary. It is yearly ritual for NTR to give a Paper Ad remembering his Grandfather and he also pays homage at the NTR Ghat.
It happened today as well. He reached the NTR Ghat early in the morning and paid respects to his grandfather.
Fans congregated there in huge numbers and were shouting slogans ‘CM NTR’.
It happens every year and the slogans grew louder this year because the fans were encouraged by Joseph Vijay’s Victory in Tamil Nadu.
After the failure of Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan in Politics (in their attempt to become the Chief Minister), there was a feeling in everybody that Politics no longer suits film actors. But then, Vijay’s victory changed it all.
But then, comparing Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh Politics may not be apples to apples comparison.
Tamil Nadu Politics gave a chance to Vijay because the AIADMK did not have proper leadership after Jayalalithaa’s demise and its alliance with the BJP made things much worse. DMK was facing severe anti-incumbency due to arrogance of the Top Leadership.
If NTR fans are hoping that TDP’s strong cadre base will help NTR big time, they are over-estimating.
In the last three years or so, Nara Lokesh has got so much of acceptance in the cadres and the common public as the next heir of Chandrababu Naidu.
And so, NTR taking the reins of the Telugu Desam Party is only the imagination of the YSR Congress fans to create rifts and confusion.
Moreover, NTR appears to have no such ambitions. He is extremely busy in films right now and have bigger ambitions to emerge as a Pan-India Star.
By the time, he reaches there, Politics will change a thousand times.
So, all these are far-fetched dreams at least for now.
