From Mahesh To Allu Arjun To Jaya Krishna

A new member of the Ghattamaneni family enters Telugu cinema. Jaya Krishna, grandson of legendary actor Krishna and nephew of Mahesh Babu, makes his debut with Sreenivasa Mangapuram. The film, directed by Ajay Bhupathi and produced by Gemini Kiran, is being presented by Ashwini Dutt. At a special event, the team introduced the lead actors, Jaya Krishna and Rasha Thadani.

Speaking about his debut, Jaya Krishna revealed that the story immediately connected with him when Ajay narrated it a year ago. He felt the role would challenge him as an actor and help him showcase his abilities. The debutant also expressed gratitude to Ashwini Dutt, highlighting the producer’s special connection with his family through films like Agni Parvatham and Raja Kumarudu.

Senior filmmaker K. Raghavendra Rao extended his blessings to the team and wished for the film to become a major commercial success. He particularly appreciated the songs and traditional flavor seen in the visuals. “Agni Parvatham with Krishna, made under Vyjayanthi Movies, was a sensational hit. Raja Kumarudu with Mahesh Babu was also a massive success. Now, Vyjayanthi is introducing Jaya Krishna. The boy is Sreenivas, and the girl is Manga. I wish this film earns every single rupee possible.”

Director Ajay Bhupathi heaped praise on Jaya Krishna. “No one speaks negatively about Krishna. He was a true superstar with a hardcore fan base. He took risks that no other hero dared to take. Jaya Krishna has those same qualities—everything about that boy is special. I believe music should be a major strength in my films, and the music of this film is also going to be a blockbuster. Ashwini Dutt is a legendary producer who monitors the progress every day. Even though the lead pair are newcomers, I’m not worried. Jaya Krishna has strong acting skills and impressive screen presence. Raasha is the best among the heroines I’ve worked with. The film has six songs, all shot entirely outdoors. The story unfolds across two different backdrops. We will reveal them in the trailer.”

Ashwini Dutt said, “Just the mention of NTR’s name sends a wave of emotion through everyone. I made my first film with him in 1975 and another in 1977. After that, I worked with Ghattamaneni Krishna, who was equally a great and remarkable personality. Over the years, I have had the privilege of introducing talents like Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun. Now, we are proud to introduce Jaya Krishna.”

Sreenivasa Mangapuram is gearing up for its release.
