Peddi First Report: Honest, Emotional and Rooted Drama

Peddi – Neat First Half

Starts off well with story establishment and goes on in a lighter mode from then on. Rai Rai Raa Raa is the highlight and is a treat to watch a star enjoying himself and dancing his heart out. Janhvi Kapoor’s episodes were okayish. The ‘One Rupee’ cricket sequence is great, followed by a very emotionally charged pre-interval and a nice setup for the second half.

Ram Charan and AR Rahman are at their best.

After a decent first half, the second half is content-driven and emotionally engaging.

Second Half starts with stylish wrestling portions going along with chartbuster Massa Massa song. Later, it dips a bit with a few fillers but picks up again with national wrestling episodes. The special number felt like a roadblock, but it was good to see the ease and flow of Charan. But when the pre-climax episode starts, the movie goes to another level and ends on a super high note.

All respect to Ram Charan and Buchi Babu Sana for choosing such a novel concept and presenting it with honesty.
