RT’s Irumudi Begins With A Familiar Devotional Song

When a song that has been cherished for years is reimagined for the big screen with a fresh composition and grand presentation, it naturally evokes a sense of nostalgia. That’s exactly what audiences can expect from the first single of Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Irumudi.

Directed by Shiva Nirvana, Irumudi is an emotional family drama with the father-daughter relationship at its heart. Ravi Teja will also be seen taking Ayyappa Deeksha, adding a strong spiritual layer to the narrative. The makers have now announced the film’s first single, Irumudi Kattu, a devotional number already familiar among Ayyappa devotees. The song is set to be released on the 29th of this month.

Music director GV Prakash Kumar has reimagined the iconic devotional track to suit the cinematic experience while preserving its spiritual soul. The newly released poster reflects the same divine aura, featuring a sea of devotees gathered before a magnificently decorated Ayyappa temple, with Ravi Teja standing in prayer, his arm raised in devotion. The visual perfectly captures the song’s devotional spirit and grandeur.

Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, Irumudi stars Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead. The film is slated for a grand theatrical release on August 21.
