SS Rajamouli is one of the country’s visionary filmmakers. The director is currently working on Varanasi, starring Mahesh Babu in the lead role. As the makers are currently on a break, Rajamouli is in France to attend an event related to RRR. During his media interaction there, Rajamouli shared some deets about how Varanasi is going to be.
Rajamouli clearly stressed that this will be a standalone film, not expanding into any sequels. Having said that, he also revealed for the first time that the film runs on the core of father-son emotion, which then unfolds into different layers.
“From wildness of Africa to the Cold in Antarctica, The Gods of Ramayana, The Natural Disasters and the Fantasic elements – all in one film,” said Rajamouli.
“It is the experience that you are going to have, while the core of all this would be father and son,” said Rajamouli, who plans to wrap up the shoot by the end of October this year, if everything goes as planned. Already, the film’s teaser caught the attention of many across the globe.
Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran are a part of the film. Sri Durga Arts is bankrolling the movie.
