His long-cherished vision officially came to life today with a traditional pooja ceremony of #RAPO23, marking the beginning of a path-breaking film that sees him wear multiple creative hats. Krishna Pothineni is producing the prestigious venture under the Rapo Cinematics banner.
As per tradition, producer Krishna Pothineni handed over the bound script to Ram Pothineni. The muhurtham shot was initiated with P Murali Mohan switching on the camera and PV Ravi Kishore sounding the clapboard. The highlight of the event was Ram Pothineni taking charge of the very first shot, officially embarking on his directorial journey. The celebrations were immediately followed by the commencement of regular shooting.
The film’s story was written by Ram himself. Conceived as a psychological action thriller set in a gripping neo-noir universe, the film aims to introduce to a fresh cinematic experience packed with emotional intensity, mystery, and compelling character journeys.
Ram’s involvement extends far beyond acting. As the film’s writer, director, and leading man, he is personally looking after every aspect of the project, making it one of the most creatively demanding undertakings of his career. It also marks his highest budgeted movie to date.
