KVN Productions is one of the noted production houses in Kannada, which is slowly venturing into Telugu and Tamil as well. The production house is going through its share of lows, but they are still the producers in discussion.
Today, they released new content about Toxic, which raised many doubts about censorship. Interestingly, it is also sparking a debate about producers’ courage in creating such content.
Firstly, their production venture, Jana Nayagan, faced censorship issues. The team faced hurdles in obtaining a censor certificate. And then, there could be political reasons behind it, but the other films, for instance, a Kannada film KD – The Devil, also suffered similar problems. The producers must have been a little careful in their choices so they don’t attract the censor’s heat.
Now, Yash’s Toxic has already created quite some buzz with the content that has been released earlier. The team is trying to convey that the content will be bold and explosive, but even adults are feeling that it is getting a little overboard, which must be looked into. Having said that, KVN productions had the courage to bankroll triple-digit projects that carry this much censorship risk.
If Toxic also attracts the censor troubles, the producers must seriously look into the choices they are making to ensure a smooth and seamless viewing experience to the audiences by avoiding unnecessary controversies.
