Sadly, veteran Tamil film maker Bhagyaraj passed away last week due to cardiac arrest, and he is no longer with us. The South Indian film industry mourned the passing of this veteran personality who had worked on several successful films in the past.

At first, everyone sympathised with these letters and appreciated the artistic expression of the late film maker and his love towards his fans and family members.
But a pattern seems to be emerging from these letters, as they appear one-sided. They project Bhagyaraj as asking everyone to stand by his son, Shantanu’s success, while making no mention of his daughter, Saranya Bhagyaraj, who stood by her father through some of the most difficult phases of his life.
This repeated reference to Shantanu, while and ignorance towards daughter Saranya have resulted in social media user, speculating that these letters might not have come from Bhagyaraj and could’ve been generated through AI. A few people are commenting that Shantanu might have created these letters to gain clout after his father’s passing.
“Children signing their parents’ signature in report cards is amateur-level, but using their letter pad posthumously to selfishly ask for support while leaving their sibling out is truly unique and legendary stuff” a Twitter user commented implying that Shantanu might be releasing these letters on his own to sideline his sister.
This has turned into a full-blown controversy on social media, with people expressing sharply contrasting opinions. However, it would be fair to give the family some time before demanding any clarification, as they are still mourning the loss of Bhagyaraj. This is not the right moment to expect them to address the controversy, and any clarification, if needed, can wait until the family has had time to grieve.
