Blast is one of the surprise hits of the year and gave a lot of recognition to actress Preity Mukhundhan. She is now ready with her new film Idhayam Murali, which also has good buzz ahead of its release on July 10, 2026.
During the promotions of the film, Preity revealed that she was offered a role in Allu Arjun’s Raaka, but she rejected it due to date issues. Going into details, Atlee, the director of Raaka, revealed at the trailer launch of Idhayam Murali that when he approached Preity for a key role in Raaka, she could not take it up as she was shooting for Idhayam Murali.
Atlee also added that he loves Preity’s acting and would have loved to have her on board. Getting to act in an Allu Arjun film, and that too under the direction of Atlee, does not happen every day, and Preity says she was disappointed that she could not be a part of the film and is hopeful that she will get a chance in the future.
The same role is now being played by Fatima George, and her character is said to be quite significant. On the other hand, Preity is quite excited about Idhayam Murali and says that the film will bring her a lot of fame and recognition after Blast.
One needs to see how costly it proves to be to reject an Allu Arjun film in the days to come as such chance do not come easily in life. Fahadh Faasil and Atharvaa play lead roles in this coming of age romantic drama.
