Jana Nayagan, the Tamil superstar and CM Vijay’s farewell film, has made headlines yet again. While the political drama has completed its censorship with an ‘A’ certificate and received clearance from the board, the makers are yet to officially announce its release date.

What makes the situation even more intriguing is that overseas bookings for the film have already opened in several locations for July 24. Despite this, the production house has remained silent about the release date, leading to widespread confusion.

According to reports, the delay is due to Jana Nayagan’s OTT deal. Going into details, Amazon Prime, which was initially in discussions to acquire the digital rights, is said to have backed out following multiple postponements.

Since then, the makers have reportedly been negotiating with other platforms and are now believed to be in the final stages of closing a new OTT deal. This is one of the major reasons for the release date not being announced by the makers, KVN Productions.

This new confusion has left fans clueless as they are eagerly awaiting a formal update. When it will come and what date the makers choose is a big mystery as of now. Let’s see what happens in the days to come.
