The phenomenal box office success of Pushpa has catapulted Allu Arjun into the pan-India league and made him one of the biggest superstars across the country. Interestingly, he seems to be maintaining some distance from Telugu directors after Pushpa.
Up next, he will be seen in director Atlee’s ambitious project Raaka, which is currently in production. Interestingly, Allu Arjun seems to be more inclined towards working with directors from different languages at present.
Having already announced his next collaboration with hotshot Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, Bunny is now keen to team with talented Malayalam director after both these projects. Reportedly, Minnal Murali fame Basil Joseph is the forerunner to helm Allu Arjun’s next outing after Lokesh’s film.
This combination has been on cards for several months now and the chances are on the higher side. Also, there is a speculation that Dhurandhar director Aditya Dhar is also in line to join forces with Allu Arjun.
Amid all these developments, an interesting discussion has gained momentum in Tollywood circles. Looking at his upcoming lineup, Allu Arjun appears to be consciously joining hands with directors from other film industries.
Though he was supposed to work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga long back, there are no proper updates on this much hyped project. Also, his film with Trivikram Srinivas didn’t take off due to unknown reasons.
With newfound craze beyond South India, he is no doubt trying to consolidate both his box office clout and pan-India image by opting to work with top-league directors.
Given that all these projects would take another 4-5 years to complete, the wait is going to be longer for a Telugu director to join hands with Allu Arjun.
