Young Girl’s Obsession With Babu Failed on Screen!

When a young woman in her 20s falls for a middle aged man played by Jagapathi Babu, it instantly grabs attention. The trailer promised an unusual relationship, psychological twists, and a gripping thriller. It looked like a film that would keep audiences guessing till the end. Unfortunately, the excitement ends with the trailer.

On screen, Vadala never reaches the level it promises. The story follows a successful doctor whose peaceful life changes after a young woman enters it. What starts as admiration slowly turns into obsession, dragging everyone into a series of unexpected events. While the basic idea is interesting, the narration fails to create the tension needed for a thriller.

Instead of building suspense, the film moves at a slow pace with scenes that feel stretched. The twists are predictable, and the emotional moments don’t leave much impact. Rather than surprising the audience, the screenplay follows a familiar path that most viewers can easily guess.

Jagapathi Babu delivers a sincere performance and does his part well. The supporting cast also performs adequately. However, the weak writing and outdated narration don’t give the actors much to work with.

Psychological thrillers need strong storytelling and edge of the seat moments to impress today’s audience. Vadala has an interesting concept but lacks the execution to make it memorable. In the end, what looked like a promising thriller in the trailer turns out to be a flat and forgettable experience on the big screen.
