Producer Venkat K Narayana says Jana Nayagan is arriving in theatres at a moment that makes it truly special. Featuring Vijay in what is expected to be his final film before fully dedicating himself to public service, the H Vinoth directorial is scheduled for a grand worldwide release in 2 more days on July 23.
Venkat said the journey to release has been filled with unexpected challenges but believes every hurdle has only increased the film’s emotional value. “We knew there could be some complications because Vijay had already announced his political future. But we never expected release postponements, piracy issues, and legal complications. Those were completely unforeseen.”
The producer emphasized that Jana Nayagan has been designed as a celebration of Vijay’s remarkable career. “Jana Nayagan is a fitting tribute to Vijay’s legacy. Fans will experience emotions, nostalgia, and entertainment together.”
Sharing memories of working with Vijay, Venkat praised the actor’s professionalism. “Vijay is extremely disciplined, punctual, and committed. Every day on set was a pleasure.”
Regarding comparisons with Bhagavanth Kesari, he clarified that audiences should not mistake the film based on the trailer. “We only borrowed inspiration from two scenes. Everything else- from the story and characters to the emotional conflict, is completely original.”
Expressing disappointment over the film’s A certification, Venkat said he wished more families could have experienced its message together. “The film strongly advocates girl child empowerment and encourages positive social change.”
He also revealed that producing a film with Chiranjeevi is another dream turning into reality.
