Chitralayam Studios’ ‘Ba Ba Black Sheep’ Unveils First Lyrical Song ‘Aaja Meri Jaani’; Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad Launches the Track, Film Set for October 9 Release
Sometimes, one unexpected incident is enough to set off a series of events that can completely change the course of several lives. ‘Ba Ba Black Sheep’ explores such an unusual situation through the lens of a new-age crime comedy, blending crime, humour and entertainment into an engaging narrative.
Presented by Donepudi Chakrapani and produced by Venu Donepudi under the Chitralayam Studios banner, the film is directed by Guni Manikanti. The movie features a strong ensemble cast, including Tinu Anand, Upendra, George Maryan, Akshay, Vishnu, Karthikeya, Vismayashri, Malavi, Kashyap, Raja Ravindra and others in important roles.
One of the film’s major highlights is its unique production journey. ‘Ba Ba Black Sheep’ is the first South Indian film to be shot entirely in Meghalaya. The team filmed extensively across the state, including the picturesque locations of Cherrapunji.
The teaser, which was released earlier, offered audiences a glimpse into the film’s unusual characters and their individual traits. It also hinted at a quick-moving storyline filled with quirky situations, comedy and unexpected turns, building curiosity around the film.
The makers have now locked October 9 as the film’s theatrical release date, targeting the festive Dussehra season. Along with the release announcement, they have also launched the first lyrical song, ‘Aaja Meri Jaani’, with Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad unveiling the track.
Devi Sri Prasad appreciated the song’s youthful energy and congratulated the team for coming up with a different concept. He also wished ‘Ba Ba Black Sheep’ a grand success.
‘Aaja Meri Jaani’ Promises a High-Energy Musical Treat
The first lyrical song, ‘Aaja Meri Jaani’, is a vibrant party track packed with youthful energy. Shot on a colourful scale, the song prominently features Ajay Lagusani and Oy Vishnu, adding to its lively appeal.
Electronic Kili and Anand (Arkado) have composed the track, while Kittu Vissapragada has penned the lyrics. Benny Dayal has lent his energetic vocals to the song. With its catchy rhythm, upbeat composition and vibrant presentation, ‘Aaja Meri Jaani’ is expected to strike a chord with music lovers and younger audiences.
Speaking about the film, producer Venu Donepudi said, “We have successfully completed the shoot of ‘Ba Ba Black Sheep’, which is based on an interesting incident. The post-production work is currently in the final stage. We are preparing to bring the film to audiences on a grand scale on October 9 during the Dussehra festive season.
This is the first South Indian film to be shot completely in Meghalaya. We had the opportunity to shoot in spectacular locations such as Cherrapunji. Careful planning helped us complete the shoot successfully within the schedule. I sincerely thank our director Guni, all the actors, technicians and the entire team for their valuable support.
