Jathi Ratnalu fame Faria Abdullah has been going through a good phase in her career, with multiple Telugu projects and a Tamil debut on the way. However, a wave of religious hate on social media appears to have deeply affected the actress.

Faria recently participated in the Bonalu celebrations in Hyderabad and was seen embracing the festivities. Her participation and traditional appearance received appreciation from many, but it also attracted criticism and personal attacks from a section of social media users.

The actress was reportedly targeted with hateful messages and was even labelled an “Islam traitor” for taking part in a Hindu festival. Unable to hold back her emotions, Faria posted an emotional video on Independence Day, speaking about the personal attacks she has been facing.

In the video, Faria also spoke about her family background and how both her parents came from different religious journeys. She explained that her father embraced Islam because he was drawn towards the religion and that he taught her to focus on the good values within it.

Faria said that she knows only how to love and that she would continue to wish well even for those attacking her. She stressed that love, peace and unity are what she believes in and wants to stand for.

The actress also expressed sympathy towards her critics, saying that failing to see God in the people around us means something is missing. Her emotional words, delivered while visibly in tears, showed how deeply the online hate had affected her.

Following the video, several netizens came out in support of Faria and condemned the personal attacks against her. The episode has once again highlighted how social media criticism can cross the line when personal beliefs and religious identities become targets.
