Did Bobby Correct The Mistake With Kaaka?

Megastar Chiranjeevi and Bobby’s film is titled Kaaka, and the movie is announced for a January 13th release as a Sankranthi Special. The film’s glimpse was released the other day and has received a good response.

Sankranthi is a Perfect Season for film releases, as it could be a money-spinner, as audiences throng to the theaters in huge numbers during the festive season.

It is one season where the box office remained massive even though the overall footfalls dropped for Telugu Cinema.

Bobby and Chiranjeevi delivered a blockbuster like Waltair Veerayya for Sankranthi 2023. However, his Daaku Maharaj faltered at the box office for Sankranthi 2025 despite the movie getting decent reviews and WOM.

The reason is that Daaku Maharaj, despite being a stylish action entertainer with superior technical values, is not a Festival film. It is not the film that aligns with the festival mood of the audiences.

That is the reason Daaku Maharaj underperformed even though Producer Nagavamsi expected it to be a Jailer like film for Balakrishna.

If Kaaka is releasing for Sankranthi, Bobby should ensure that it is not a serious action film like Daaku.

The Guns in the Glimpse give that feel but then, we can see the comedy tinge with faces like Sunil, Getup Srinu, etc along With Chiru’s Family man kind of supervisor look which will connect with family audience.
