Prabhas, who suffered the biggest setback of his career with Raja Saab, is pinning high hopes on his next films, Spirit with Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Fauzi with Hanu Raghavapudi. Both films are carrying strong expectations, especially Spirit, given Vanga’s track record with impactful blockbusters like Arjun Reddy, Animal and Kabir Singh. The film has sky-high expectations among Prabhas’ fans and the trade.
Spirit is scheduled for release on March 5, 2027, but there have been rumours about a possible postponement. When Sandeep Reddy Vanga stepped out to promote his production venture Romanchakam (Sep 3 release), the media questioned him about Spirit and its release plans.
Vanga dismissed the postponement rumours and confidently stated that Spirit is progressing as planned. He revealed that around 50 days of shooting have been completed, with another 65 days still pending.
Interestingly, Vanga plans to complete the film in around 115–120 shooting days, which is a tight schedule for a big-scale project starring Prabhas.
Prabhas is currently working on Fauzi. After completing his portions for that film, he is expected to return to Spirit and resume shooting.
The team believes that completing the remaining 65 days of shooting within the next five months is achievable. Vanga also does not depend heavily on large-scale CGI or extensive post-production work, which could help the film progress at a faster pace.
Vanga has maintained that Spirit is moving according to the planned schedule and remains confident about releasing the film on March 5, 2027. So, Prabhas fans could heave a sigh of relief as Spirit is on track.
