Ananthika Sanilkumar is slowly carving her own space in Telugu cinema, but the journey behind her screen presence is anything but easy. Ahead of Romanchakam’s release, she sat down for a beautiful conversation with Gulte PRO’s Ram Venkat Srikar and opened up about her childhood, arts training and journey into films.

Long before cinema came into the picture, Ananthika was deeply involved in dance, music, drawing and martial arts. She explored traditional art forms including Kathakali and Ottamthullal, while also pursuing academics with equal seriousness. Her disciplined upbringing eventually gave her the confidence to dream bigger.

What makes her journey particularly special is the support she received from her parents. Even when finances were tight, they went to the extent of taking loans to ensure that Ananthika could continue learning and performing different art forms. Their willingness to invest in her passion stands out as a beautiful example of parents encouraging their child’s talent.

That strong foundation also helped Ananthika deal with the uncertainties of entering the film industry. She spoke about facing auditions, rejections, language challenges and the pressure of proving herself as a newcomer. Interestingly, she also spoke about the fear of facing the camera with dialogues for the first time.
