Lax Gopisetty, the CEO of Infosys Public Services, is currently not reachable after devastating flash floods hit Nepal.

Gopisetty was visiting the region in a personal capacity when the floods struck. Infosys said its main priority is his safety and well being and that it is working with relevant agencies to gather information and establish contact with him.

The company is also in close contact with his family and is providing all necessary support during this difficult time.

Infosys Public Services is a subsidiary of Infosys that mainly works with public sector organisations in the US and Canada. Gopisetty has been serving as its President and CEO.

The Nepal floods have caused massive destruction, with hundreds of people killed and thousands still missing. Many foreign nationals and Indian citizens were also caught in the disaster.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, around 320 Indians were still missing after the floods, while hundreds more were stranded on the Chinese side of the border. India has also stepped up rescue and relief efforts in coordination with Nepal.

The search for Gopisetty continues as rescue teams work in the badly affected areas.
