Secret Soldier Trailer Springs a Surprise

Secret Soldier is beginning to draw attention after the release of its trailer, which presents the film as a slick thriller built around identity, loyalty and perception.

The project has had an unusually long journey to release, reportedly going through nearly eight months of censor scrutiny before moving ahead with its theatrical plans.

The trailer opens with the provocative line, “Aurangzeb is vegetarian,” immediately creating curiosity before moving into espionage, friendship and conflict.

Its most talked-about moment comes toward the end with the question: “Abdul Kalam ni Indian laaga choosi, nannu Muslim gaa endhuku choostharu?”

That gives the film a layer beyond conventional action and suggests that Secret Soldier is attempting to explore questions of identity and belonging within a thriller setup.
