The motion poster of Chandrayan has generated curiosity with its wonderfully offbeat concept and Telangana flavour. Presented by Venu Udugula after the success of Raju Weds Rambai, the film promises to be a hilarious adventure that combines an unconventional story with strong local roots. The movie is produced by Praveen Molaka under the Simba Screen Stories banner and directed by Srinath Chandrasekhar.
The announcement video titled “Mandamarri to Chandrayan” captures the imagination with the sight of a rocket flying into space while a Telangana-rooted song plays in the background. At the heart of the story is a simple yet fascinating question: what happens when a common man from Telangana dreams of seeing the moon up close? The answer appears to be an adventure packed with humour, innocence and unexpected situations.
The glimpse introduces three youngsters who decide to build their own rocket using everyday objects, including bike tyres, a pressure cooker and dumbbells. Their ambitious Chandrayaan mission raises several questions about their motivation, their journey and whether they can actually accomplish what even trained scientists would find challenging. The motion poster successfully keeps the story under wraps while creating curiosity about what awaits the trio.
Shiva kumar Dheekonda, Swapna Priyadarshini, Ravi Sivateja, Vamsidhar, Lokesh and Balagam Satyanarayana form the principal cast. Harsha Praveen scores the music, while Srinath Chandrasekhar provides the story, screenplay and dialogues besides directing the film. Presented by Venu Udugula and produced by Praveen Molaka.
