Toxic English Version Makes No Noise

Yash’s Toxic, which was released last week, opened to a disastrous response across the nation. Despite the fans trying to show love for the film, the general audience rejected it completely. The film also faced a lot of criticism for objectifying women and promoting violence unnecessarily.

In such a scenario, the team stopped promoting the film but hoped the English version would attract some viewership. The film was released today, but there is not much of a noise.

Practically speaking, the release of the English version of the movie almost went unnoticed. The English version cut is slightly different from the original version, and the makers hoped that it would impress the audiences. Whatsoever, the criticism surrounding the film had already generated a lot of negative publicity, resulting in people forgetting about the film.

Amidst the new releases, the Toxic Mania got sidelined and there is no potential for the film to recover or generate fresh revenues. The film is a big cost failure and resulted in losses across all regions. Before the film’s release, there was some attention for the English release but now, the absolute silence about it hitting the screens says it all.

Directed by Geethu Mohandas and produced by KVN Productions, the film had Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi and Nayanthara in the female lead roles.
