Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s presence at the pre-release event of Maremma brought considerable attention to his nephew Madhav’s debut. The film, directed by Mancherla Nagaraj and produced by Moksha Arts, is slated for release on September 10th.
Madhav spoke about the impact of having his uncle Ravi Teja at the event. “I grew up watching him and his movies. Having him at my first movie pre-release event is very special. I share a wonderful bond with him. He is not just my Pedda Nanna, but he is like an elder brother to me.”
Maremma will show the audience how magical the bond between a man and a buffalo can be. Nagaraj has presented the relationship against the backdrop of Mahishapuram village and its deity, Maremma.
Madhav also thanked producers Mayura Reddy and Kushal and appreciated his co-stars and technicians. He expressed hope that the audience would embrace the film when it arrives in theatres.
Ravi Teja disclosed that he had watched almost the entire movie last month when the makers showed him a rough cut. “Maremma is a very rooted and rustic film. The film, I heard, takes inspiration from real incidents in a village in Telangana. The rooted setting and unusual premise worked in the film’s favour. They made the movie really well, and I loved it totally.”
At the centre of Maremma is an unconventional relationship between the protagonist and a buffalo that develops from his childhood. Ravi Teja believes that this emotional thread will be one of the major attractions for audiences.
The star also had high praise for the film’s music composer Prashanth Vihari. His appreciation extended to the rest of the technical crew, including fight master Nataraj, cinematographer Prashanth, and editor Sai Babu, who was also associated with Hanuman.
Ravi Teja also highlighted the performances of the younger actors. “Even though Deepa is a Tamil girl, she learned Telangana slang and spoke Telugu so well. Wishing her a very bright future. She performed really well. I also loved Vikas’ performance,” said the actor, who heaped praise on director Nagaraj for choosing such a rooted subject for his first film.
Ravi Teja showered praise on Madhav for his impressive physical transformation in Maremma. Appreciating his appearance, the star actor said, “Madhav has good height, and sports a beard. His transformation for the movie is perfect and very good.”
Ravi Teja also conveyed his best wishes to the film’s producers, Mayura Reddy and Kushal.
