The national film awards is one of the most prestigious accreditations to the Indian film industry. In accordance with this, it is a particularly famous tradition to hold the national film awards in the national capital of Delhi.
But for the first time in history, national film awards are going to be moving out of national capital as a new city has come into the scene.
The National Film Awards ceremony will move out of Delhi to Kevadia in Gujarat with President Droupadi Murmu presenting the honours on September 22. This happens to be the first time in history that the prestigious national awards are not being held in Delhi, but instead of being moved to a different city.
President Droupadi Murmu is expected to present the awards during her Gujarat visit later this month. According to reports, she is likely to travel to Ekta Nagar as part of the visit and present the National Film Awards there.
People are already questioning the audacity to move the National film awards to Gujarat. Many people are commenting that it is understandable that the awards are being moved out of Delhi, but what is the reason to go for Gujarat. They are saying that all major events, including Cricket and entertainment are being shifted to Gujarat, which is not a positive index for the country.
