Nikhil Siddhartha’s Swayambhu, a warrior period film, has been delayed due to extensive CG work. After a lot of dilly dallying, we hear that the film is in its last leg of the post-production works. Inside buzz is that the makers are aiming for an October 2026 release.
At a time many in the industry think Swayambhu may not release in 2026, sources close to the film’s unit have quashed them as mere rumours. Swayambhu is aiming for release in the next couple of months, i.e either in October or November.
In fact, the Swayambhu makers said to have planned to release it on October 3rd week. Meanwhile, Ranabaali had confirmed its release date as October 16. Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 has also been slated for October 15th release. Certainly, this week looks quite choc-a-bloc and there could be a big jostle for the screens.
Swayambhu is a grand scale high-budgeted movie with best technicians like Senthil as the cinematographer and Ravi Barsur as the music composer. Given the huge budget involved and its large scale, the makers are planning for a perfect release date, if possible, a solo release week. If all goes well, Swayambhu may come in October or at least as soon as possible depending on the technical aspects of release.
Swayambhu is one of the most awaited films for Nikhil who previously scored Pan India blockbuster with Karthikeya 2. After Swayambhu, Nikhil has India House and Karthikeya 3 lined-up. Nikhil wants to speed up the works of his other films, once the technical hurdles for Swayambhu’s release end.
