Love stories have changed with the times, and Romeo Juliet aims to capture that shift. Starring Harshith and Vishaka Dhiman, the film explores Gen Z relationships, where dating comes with its own vocabulary, complicated equations, and constantly evolving definitions. Directed by Bhargav Macharla, the film’s Story Reveal glimpse was released by Rebel Star Prabhas.

The glimpse opens with Harshith having a serious conversation with a gun dealer. He wants to buy a weapon to kill a girl, but the conversation takes an entirely unexpected turn when he begins explaining the terminology associated with modern relationships. One-night stand, hookup, fling, benching, situationship, and boybestie are among the terms that come up in the discussion.

The glimpse establishes the film’s central territory- a generation navigating love, attraction, commitment, confusion, and separation in ways that differ considerably from those of previous generations. The film is particularly aimed at the youth, with its language, situations, and conflicts rooted in contemporary relationship dynamics.

The Story Reveal has already attracted attention for its unconventional premise and for the makers’ decision to introduce the film’s world nearly a month ahead of its theatrical release.
Produced by Sundeep N and Venkateswara Rao Challagulla under the Navarasa Entertainments banner, Romeo Juliet features music by Gopi Sundar, while Abhiraj Nair handles the cinematography.

Romeo Juliet is scheduled to release in theatres on October 23, coinciding with Prabhas’ birthday.
