From FaFa to Tom Cruise: Stars In Action This Weekend!

With October 2nd falling on a Friday and it being a National holiday, movie lovers are in for non-stop, unlimited entertainment at the box office, across languages. Multiple big stars are in the action, waiting to test their luck at the ticket windows this weekend. A mix of genres and languages is ready to entertain audiences starting tomorrow.

Fahadh Faasil’s straight Telugu film, Dont Trouble The Trouble, where he plays a full-length lead, hits screens on the 2nd of this month. New director Sashank Yeleti is making his debut with the film. Pre-release buzz is positive, and if the film works well, we may see Fahadh more often in Telugu, like Dulquer Salmaan.

Next on the list is Sandeep Kishan. Another Telugu release carrying decent buzz is Sigma. The film marks the debut of Tamil Nadu CM Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay as a director. Sandeep Kishan plays the lead role. The movie will also have a big release in Tamil Nadu as well. The film is releasing on October 2nd.

Nivin Pauly is also testing his luck at the box office with a Tamil film, and it also has a dubbed release in Telugu. Titled Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai in Tamil and Sanchari in Telugu, the film is directed by Ram. Soori and Anjali also star in the film. The film hits screens tomorrow.

Vijay Sethupathi’s new movie, the 1986 Madras gangster comedy-drama titled Baththa, also hits screens tomorrow. Written and directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan, the film is a gangster film, and Vijay Sethupathi is betting big on its success. If it becomes a hit, that will help him for his next release, directed by Puri Jagannath. The film releases tomorrow.

Senior South Indian actor Shiv Raj Kumar is also arriving with his new film. Titled Bail, the film is billed to be an action drama directed by Pavan Wadeyar. Deekshith Shetty is also a part of the film. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on October 2, 2026. Notably, it is one of the films headlined by a big star and heading for a release this weekend.

While in Hindi, Ajay Devgn will arrive with Drishyam 3. The film differs slightly from the South version, and the team made that choice deliberately. Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Prakash Raj are a part of the film. The film’s South version was already released in Malayalam, with its dubbed version in Telugu. We have to see how the Hindi version performs, and it releases on October 2nd.

In Hindi, we also have the Premalu remake, which stirred buzz quite some time ago on social media. Veer Pahariya will play Vishal, and debutante Aafiya Sayed will play Suhani. Apoorv Singh Karki, director of Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, is directing. The film releases on October 2nd.

Tom Cruise’s new movie is the dark comedy Digger, which releases in theaters on October 2, 2026. That same day, we also have Anne Hathaway’s newest movie, Verity, a psychological erotic thriller.
