Nandamuri Balakrishna has recovered from the injuries he suffered during the shoot and is now getting ready to return to work. After nearly two months of rest, the actor has restarted Dada and has given 15 days of dates for a fresh Mysore schedule.
If everything goes as planned, another 20 days of shooting will remain after the Mysore schedule. This means the team needs around 35 days of Balayya’s cooperation to complete his portions. A song featuring Balakrishna, composed by Thaman, is also part of the pending shoot.
The makers are reportedly planning everything carefully to retain the December 24 release date. Scenes and episodes that do not require Balayya have already been completed and are currently undergoing post production thanks to Gopichand Malineni’s planning. Some portions are also expected to be shot at Kakinada Port.
Balakrishna is said to be playing a gangster in this mafia drama, which reportedly has some never seen before elements. Despite the delay and his injury, NBK is pushing ahead with the film as the team feels a Christmas release could be more beneficial than waiting for other window.
The OTT calendar is also said to be one of the reasons behind the urgency. If any unexpected delays force a postponement, Dada could end up arriving for Sankranthi 2027, where Balayya may face competition from Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh.
The teaser has already received a decent response and the team believes the upcoming trailer will take the expectations much higher. With the Veera Simha Reddy combination returning, expectations among fans are strong. Manoj Manchu playing the villain is another interesting factor, especially after his earlier combination with Balayya.
