Superstar Rajinikanth reunited with director Nelson for the sequel to Jailer. Tiltled Jailer 2, the film will see Muthuvel Pandian return to take on a major crime network. The team launched the trailer today, taking the buzz to the next level altogether. The trailer has plenty of entertaining elements, and this time the focus seems to be more on action and drama, unlike the first part, which had a family element.

Based on the trailer, Rajinikanth goes into exile and starts working as a driver, where he is also humiliated while hiding his real identity. However, he is on a mission to eliminate one after another from the crime syndicate that is behind a big conspiracy. In the process, he aims to bring all the baddies under one roof to eliminate them for once and for all. The trailer suggests the story unfolds in a thrilling way.

The trailer clearly sheds light on the world it operates in. The sequel promises bigger stakes, more chaos, and the return of several familiar faces from the first part. However, the cast also adds Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anna Rajan, Jatin Sharma, Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan, and SJ Suryah. Mohanlal, Hrithik Roshan, Shiva Rajkumar, and Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in special cameos.
