Sree Vishnu About Acharya Dalam In Comrade Kalyan

Sree Vishnu’s latest entertainer Comrade Kalyan is gaining traction at the box office, with positive word of mouth bringing more audiences to theatres.

At the film’s success meet, the actor expressed happiness over the response, particularly from family audiences, while sharing interesting insights into the film’s making and the appreciation it has received from within the industry.

“Word of mouth has spread well for Comrade Kalyan, and the film has received a good response. Families can watch it together with their children. We made this film to give audiences two-and-a-half hours of laughter, and I hope this strong run continues.”

The actor also revealed that he had been receiving calls from industry personalities since the previous night, including a prominent hero who appreciated the film.

He specifically spoke about the Acharya Dalam episode, which has emerged as one of the film’s major highlights.

“When Kona Venkat narrated the idea of the Acharya Dalam scene, I felt it would work well. However, I wanted to show it to Megastar Chiranjeevi first. After watching it, Megastar said that the scene would become a major highlight of the film, and that is exactly what happened.”

Sree Vishnu further appreciated revolutionary actor and filmmaker R Narayana Murthy for supporting the film from the beginning.

Kona Venkat revealed that the team had initially shot a Jathara episode featuring a tense sequence involving a minister being kidnapped, comrades arriving with plans to kill him, and another group entering the Jathara to rescue him. The sequence was designed as an edge-of-the-seat episode, with multiple developments unfolding simultaneously.

“We removed the Jathara episode from the movie, but I feel taking it out worked in the film’s favour. We replaced it with the Vennela Kishore episode. We will release the Jathara episode on social media in the second week, and audiences can then decide whether we made the right choice,” he said.

Comrade Kalyan opened to good numbers with 4 Cr on opening day, whereas the second day numbers are expected to be even bigger.
