Ranabaali has received an enthusiastic response from filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who highlighted the film’s performances, music, and historical subject in a social media post. Featuring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, the film brings together a prominent lead pair, Ajay–Atul’s musical contribution, and director Rahul Sankrityan’s exploration of a lesser-known chapter of history.
Leading with his appreciation for Vijay, Sandeep wrote, “Guys… go watch RANABAALI for Deverakonda Vijay Sai’s outstanding character portrayal.” His recommendation places Vijay’s performance at the forefront of his response, drawing attention to the actor’s characterisation and the impact of his work on screen.
The filmmaker also recognised the film’s emotional and musical strengths. He described Rashmika’s Jayamma as “so achingly real,” while noting that the connection between the lead actors goes far beyond chemistry. His enthusiastic remark about Ajay–Atul’s music adds another highlight to his response, acknowledging the score’s contribution to the film’s cinematic appeal.
Sandeep reserved special appreciation for Rahul Sankrityan’s treatment of history, praising the care and curiosity behind the filmmaker’s approach. His observation that Ranabaali presents a part of history that school textbooks were reluctant to show gives added significance to the film’s subject.
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film has been presented by Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar and T-Series Films and produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner.
