Telugu Director Replaces Tamil Director

Tharun Bhascker is one of the directors who also ventured into acting in tollywood. He is currently balancing his career on both fronts. Interestingly, he is now being considered for a crazy Tamil film. Pradeep Ranganathan, who is also a director-turned-actor, is producing a film and has roped in tamil director Ashwath Marimuthu as the lead. Now, we hear that Tharun will replace Ashwath in the film.

Actor-director Pradeep Ranganathan launched his home banner PR Show with PRS01, a multilingual film. Mamitha Baiju has been roped in to play the heroine. Ashwath is no longer part of the film, and Tharun plays the lead role. The reason behind this replacement is currently unknown. The untitled film will also feature Telugu actor Sivaji in a key role. Anamika Mahi will mark her debut with the film.

Like Tharun, Ashwath has also acted in a few films and enjoys a good craze in Tamil. Incidentally, Tharun Bhascker penned the dialogues for Ashwath’s Telugu debut, Ori Devuda, the official remake of Oh My Kadavule. The Alpha Unit, a collective of six filmmakers comprising Vishal TR, Yash V, Naren Saoda, Chanakkiyan R, Dhanush Kumar, and Ilamparithi, is directing the film. All of them earlier assisted Pradeep Ranganathan.

On the other hand, Tharun was recently seen in Crazy Kalyanam and he has his directorial ENE-Repeat up for a release soon.
