The release plans of Ramayana 2 and Spirit are creating an interesting situation. According to the latest gossip, Ranbir Kapoor, who plays the lead role in Ramayana, tipped off director Sandeep Reddy Vanga about the delay in the sequel, allowing Spirit to target the lucrative Diwali 2027 window.

Prabhas’ Spirit was supposed to be released in March but will now be out on October 29, 2027. The date falls close to Diwali, making it a potentially valuable festive window for the big-budget action drama.

Earlier, Ramayana 2 was expected to arrive around the same festive period, creating the possibility of a major box-office clash. However, with reports suggesting that the sequel may not meet its original schedule, the makers of Spirit lapped up the Diwali date.
