Sonu Sood Is Habitual Offender

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has recently fallen in a controversy with regards to the conversion of his residential building in Juhu to a hotel. Mumbai civic body went to court against the same but Sonu Sood has clarified that he sought all necessary permissions for converting his home into a hotel.

However, in an affidavit filed by Mumbai civic body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation told Bombay High Court that Sonu Sood is a habitual offender.

The BMC had alleged that Sonu Sood carried out structural changes in the six-story residential building ”Shakti Sagar” to convert it into a commercial hotel. The BMC stated that Sonu Sood is a habitual offender who wants to enjoy the commercial proceeds of the unauthorized work. The BMC told the court that Sonu Sood is reconstructing the demolished portion in order to make it operational as a hotel albeit illegally.

Th BMC strongly claims that Sonu Sood was not granted any permission for the change of property and no license was given to him to run the commercial hotel.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation first issued a notice to Sonu Sood in September 2018 but the actor continued the construction work. On November 12, 2018, the demolition of the unauthorized work was carried out by the actor.

As per the latest reports, the petition will be heard today by Justice Prithviraj Chavan.

The complete details in the case will be out today.
